Progres Revitalisasi Trotoar di Kawasan Kota Tua Capai 93 Persen

Sidewalk Revitalization in Kota Tua Area Almost Complete

Jakarta Bina Marga Agency Head Hari Nugroho, conducted a visit to the revitalization work on the sidewalk in the Kota Tua area, Taman Sari, West Jakarta, on Tuesday (7/26).

It is almost done or 7 percent

According to him, the project progress had reached 93 percent and was targeted for completion by July 2022.

"Alhamdulillah, we have checked Jalan Kemukus, Jalan Ketumbar, Jalan Lada Raya until Jalan Lada Dalam. It is almost done or 7 percent," he expressed.

Kota Tua Area will Have a 1635 Feel

He explained that finishing works included andesite coating, fountains, and Transjakarta bus stops.

"So far so good. This Kota Tua area will have a 1635 feel," he explained.

Aside that, the sidewalk around the location would be disabled-friendly, as it was also equipped with a guiding block.

"We also equip this pedestrian with street furniture with good lighting and shade trees for pedestrian convenience," he continued.

Then the plants on the edge of the sidewalk would also be equipped with sprinklers for ease of watering or plant care.

"The pipelines have been integrated thus the plants get water automatically in the morning, afternoon, and evening," he continued.

The most important thing was that this project would be a pilot project for a low emission zone, which is planned to become an international tourist destination.

"In the future, this area will only be passed by electric or gas-based vehicles, while those fueled by oil will be directed through Jalan Kampung Badan," he stated.

He uttered that the sidewalk revitalization used non-APBD funds from the Land Acquisition Principle Approval Letter (SP3L) through three developers.

"The three developers are PT Mandiri Eka Abadi, PT Aruna Kirana, and TCP Internusa," he stated.
